Biography

Rebeka M. Buczeskie joined Hummel, Lewis & Davidson, LLP as an associate attorney in October of 2019, practicing in the fields of family law, criminal law, and estate planning.

Regardless of the length of a marriage, its dissolution can be an emotionally challenging time. Attorney Buczeskie compassionately assists clients through the divorce process while avidly fighting to help her clients resolve the issues.

Custody arrangements are often a significant component of divorce proceedings, and Rebeka works diligently to achieve a custody arrangement that is in the best interests of the child or children. She is also able to work with clients who seek modifications to pre-existing custody agreements that need to be updated due to changes in circumstances of the parents or changes brought about as children get older and their interests and extra-curricular activities cause scheduling changes.

Attorney Buczeskie's criminal law practice is focused on charges relating to traffic offenses and drug and alcohol charges. She critically evaluates the facts of the case and zealously defends her clients against the charges. Attorney Buczeskie will take your case to trial, but if qualified for a diversion program, she will counsel her clients about that option as well.

Attorney Buczeskie is a native of Kulpmont, Pennsylvania and received her bachelor's degree in History from Misericordia University in 2016. She received her law degree from Widener University Commonwealth Law School, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2019. While earning her law degree, Ms. Buczeskie interned with the Northumberland County District Attorney's Office and Hummel, Lewis & Davidson, LLP. In her final year of law school, Ms. Buczeskie worked at Widener Law School's Civil Law Clinic. While attending law school, Attorney Buczeskie served as the Widener Commonwealth Law Review's Executive Managing Editor. She authored a survey entitled: The Right to Know: What Can Actually Be Disclosed, 28 Widener Commw. L. Rev. 269. Attorney Buczeskie is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Columbia/Montour County Bar Association.
