Being a second generation attorney, C. Cleveland Hummel was raised in and around the law. Since beginning his career in 1979, he has served his community as an Assistant Public Defender and as a court-appointed Hearing Officer to initially preside over cases involving the protection of senior citizens to safeguard against any senior being taken from their home, or being placed in a restrictive setting when such removal or placement is not necessary.

Since 1979, Mr. Hummel has been fighting for the rights of the injured, having represented the victims of auto accidents, workers hurt on the job, and applicants for Social Security Disability. With over 25 years of experience litigating and settling these cases, Cleve has the ability to guide his clients through the litigation process and negotiate resolutions in order to maximize his client's recovery.

As a lifelong resident of the Bloomsburg area, Mr. Hummel has represented and assisted clients with their purchases of homes, preparation of Wills and the administration of the estates of their loved ones, the formation of businesses, and support in dealing with employment issues such as unemployment claims. Currently, Mr. Hummel sits as a member of the Montour Township Planning Commission. He has extensive experience in handling real estate transactions, from original purchases to refinancings, zoning applications and appeals, and land use planning.
